What do you do that special on the holidays

Someone asked me this question the other day and my first response was nothing really, but then I thought about it????? I truly believe in tradition when it comes to family. So I keep them going even as my kids are now in their teens. It's funny too because they will tell me, "mom, this is not a Tinley tradition." I laugh, but it fills my heart to know they understand the importance of family. My favorite saying is, I will do this when I have kids. These are precious times where we are being robbed of what we believe in by greed, politics, and commercialism. You need to keep your family traditions, beliefs, ethics, values and religion going no matter what court, person, or government official says otherwise. This is something WE AS AMERICANS SHOULD NOT BACK DOWN ON! Why all of a sudden is christianity and christmas the minority? We are supposed to be a melting pot community and now we are segregated against our neighbor. I hope everyone enjoys their holiday (should be celebration here)a holiday is marketing strategy or a vacation if your overseas. My friend Melissa says its like Kleenex...... Not every tissue is a Kleenex... marketing, marketing, marketing.............. I hope you find peace, love, and hope for the year to come. PS We celebrate our CHRISTMAS.... every year by cutting down a fresh tree, opening a gift on christmas eve, celebrating with family and my favorite part is how we get up very early christmas morning and open presents as quick as possible, get dressed and go help my aunt and uncle on their horse farm. They normally do not have muckers on christmas so we as a family unit go and help out. The kids have been doing this since 2006 and they never complain. Its not charity, its not a family thing its a special tradition that I have come to love. With all my love Tina
