Do I offend you?

Our founding fore fathers came across to this fine continent to find and practice their own religions. Of course that was not the only reason, but it was a big part. Hey they even based our constitution on it. So if all men are created equal, that would include their color, heritage, religion and nationality isn't that right? Then why can't the ACL leave the whole religion thing alone. If the government or its entities state that you cannot practice or speak of your religion isn't that strong holding us to believe in what those who are complaining about to believe. If you take the word god out of the pledge because an athiest finds it offensive are we not now forced to believe what they believe? They sit here and talk about how the "family unit" is almost extinct, but they yank their faith and the values that come with it right out from under them. They meaning the ACLU and the government (because they allow this crap to go on). I am not a big church person, but I do believe in god,and I do believe that everyone has a right to their own beliefs. I do not think those who believe in god including myself would want to hush them of their practices. The most recent news is the little girl who wrote that god was her idol. This girl was told she could not write this?????????? Why, why, why.... if someone came in and budda was their idol, would this be thrown out as well? We all have a right to choose. This truly hurts my heart, because I know that the ACLU has forgotten its credo, it is now more like "GREEDO". Money has become the root of all evil. The entitlement that I am going to get whats mine ticks me off to no end. NO ONE Should be offended by someones faith, you should embrace the fact that they have faith (of any kind) because they like you are trying to find peace. Does it mean that an atheist will not be friends with a Catholic because their religion offends, then you do not believe in what makes that person good so why bother. Another example would be if your Catholic and your friend gets married in a church that is Baptist, would you say no I am sorry, the relgion is offensive and I will not feel included in the day so I cannot attend. I am not asking you to go to my church, I am not asking you read my bible. I am asking you to accept me for who I am. I am asking to hear why I am so excited about my idol I am just asking you to hear why not take up my religion. I am not asking you to sacrifice a friggin chicken here folks. The government is not helping this matter by letting these people who want nothing more than compensation because what else would 15-year-old Jessica Ahlquist gain from sueing over a plaque. Her father states, " he believes that his daughter should not be subject to a religious communication and display with which she does not agree as a condition of attending public school (christian post). She has been in school for how long...........she has heard the pledge for how long.............She has sat in restaurants, businesses, doctors offices and I am sure they have had things posted, or books regarding religion and now all of a sudden at 15 she is offended? I think not! If they keep allowing this to happen, what our country was established on will be no more. It's barely hanging by a thred as it is. KEEP IT UP PEOPLE WE WONT BE ANY BETTER THAN PLACES LIKE SYRIA AND SUCH.....I am truly dissapointed.
